This directory contains corrections to the proxy tables and resulting 
reconstructions following the discovery of an error.  ***Last modified 
3 October 2008***

The Rodrigo et al. (1999) proxy had the latitude and longitude values
switched in the original table.  This error is fixed in this directory.

Since the erroneous data had the proxy in the Southern Hemisphere instead of 
the Northern Hemisphere, this error primarily affected the Southern Hemisphere
reconstructions.  Once the proxy was properly located, it no longer passed 
screening over the full (1850-1995) calibration period and was not used in the
reconstructions.

Even with the proxy in the incorrect location, the resulting reconstruction 
did not pass our validation tests in several cases.  The few cases  presented
here passed validation in one or more of the 17th-19th centuries;  therefore,
the misplaced proxy was erroneously included in the original results.  

Affected figures and tables are all in the Supplementary Information PDF found
on the main page.  They include Table S1 (shown in this directory as
proxyinfo1209.xls)and Figures S4c, S5c, and S5e.

 corrected_cps_SH_nodendro.pdf: The one CPS reconstruction affected by this 
 	was the Southern Hemisphere case vs. CRU temperatures where the tree-
	ring proxies were excluded.
 
 corrected_eiv_glhemifulCRU.pdf
 corrected_eiv_shshfulCRU.pdf: The two affected EIV reconstructions are the
 	Southern Hemisphere and Global Full Hemisphere cases using the iCRU
	instrumental temperature series.
